  • Learn about specific Content Types created for your site
  • Show where the Content items are
  • - Homework: go to On Demand training and watch "full overview of working with content items"
  • Overview of the Pages area
  • --- Expand and collapse groups of pages
  • --- Different status: Published, draft, group page, locked
  • --- Overview of the different groups: home, utility, list pages, detail pages, reference, sandbox, error)
  •  
  • Edit content in content blocks on pages 
  • --- Use Format dropdown to apply H2, H3 etc
  • --- B, i, bullets, number - just like word
  • --- insert link. Select another page. Select a Content item or file.
  • --- change that link to a button - by using the format drop down
  • --- insert link to external link - set 'open in new tab'.
  • --- IF you must add a link manually, insert the relative part of the URL only. (after the .org).
  • --- Insert image. Use the format drop down to apply Img left or Img right.
  • - Homework: go to On Demand training and watch the videos on "Style Content"

  • Introduction to use Content widgets and layout options on the pages

  • Use search to find a specific page
  • Use Title & Properties to:  
  • --- change the page title
  • --- edit page URL - base URL and structure
  • --- set the parent page
  • --- add description for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Learn about the specific Page Templates created
  • Use back-end search filters to view a list of pages without Descriptions

Session 3 -August 24, 2023

  • Continue learning about Content Widgets and Layout options. Use Layout > Columns instead of tables.
  • Use Content Widgets to list content (news, events, sessions, etc.)
  • Manage the homepage
  • Inserting a link to custom HTML buttons or images
  • Use Revision History
  • Use the ‘featured panel’ widget on another page. Perhaps use that for Sponsors (as an alternative to the sponsor list)
  • Create Restricted Content Blocks
