ADEA Council of Sections (ADEA COS)
About the Council
The ADEA Council of Sections (ADEA COS) is composed of 42 Sections and 10 Special Interest Groups (SIGs) representing major disciplines and various areas of interest in dental and allied dental education. The Sections and SIGs allow ADEA members with shared interests to come together to develop program content or policy papers in their fields of practice or areas of interest and to provide for professional and social networking, career development and mentoring.
The ADEA COS is governed by an Administrative Board representing all Section and SIG members. The ADEA COS is also represented on the ADEA Board of Directors by the Board Director for Sections. Section members have a voice in the governance of the Association through representation in the ADEA House of Delegates, the Association’s policymaking body.
Refer to the ADEA Bylaws for specific information regarding the ADEA COS:
- Chapter I: The House of Delegates—The ADEA Governing Body
