
2024 ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Development Program (ADEA ADFLDP)
The ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Development Program (ADEA ADFLDP) is ADEA’s premier leadership program designed to inspire and develop future allied dental education leaders. The only program of its kind, ADEA ADFLDP provides leadership development from an allied dental perspective for mid-career faculty and program directors.
Through four days of self- and peer-assessment, self-reflection, one-on-one coaching and mentoring in a supportive and empowering environment, program participants gain the skills and insights to tackle the complexities of leading in an allied dental setting. ADEA ADFLDP has been praised by attendees as transformative,citing rapid personal and professional growth, self-renewal, increased confidence and connectedness―plus an outstanding network of colleagues that extends far beyond the four days of programming.

What is the cost to attend, and how do participants register?
Only selected candidates can register for the meeting. Individual ADEA membership is required.
Participants will receive a link to register online in April 2024. The registration fee is $800.The online registration will occur in April 2024. Registration includes all materials, hosted meals, refreshment breaks and receptions. Lodging and travel costs are at the registrant’s expense.
NOTE: The 2024 ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Development Program is a highly interactive experience and participants are expected to attend all meals, receptions and team-building activities. You are encouraged to spend your limited “free time” with your peer groups and preparing for the following day’s activities. The program does not allow you to bring guests or family members to meals or offsite events.
Registration Cancellations and Refunds
To receive a refund for your conference registration, you must submit a written cancellation no later than Wednesday, May 15 to Shalonda King at KingS@adea.org. ADEA will issue a refund—minus an individual $30 processing fee—after the meeting’s conclusion.
Cancellation requests received after May 15 are not eligible for refund or credit Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events or early departure

ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The American Dental Education Association designates this activity for up to 23.25 continuing education credits.

What should participants expect at ADEA ADFLDP?
The interactive program involves self and peer-assessment exercises as well as readings to be completed prior to attending. Case studies augment some topics. Participants should expect an intense schedule with assignments to be completed in some of the evenings.
How are participants selected to attend?
Participants have to apply to be selected.
In addition, they have at least 2 years of experience in academia, are individual members of ADEA, are nominated by an allied dental program director or dean, and complete a nomination package by the deadline.
The application deadline is Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.
