University of Nebraska Medical Center COD Provides Free Dental Care to Veterans and Spouses
University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry (UNMC COD) dental students, dental hygiene students, faculty and staff helped to provide free dental care to eligible veterans and their spouses at the 2024 Nebraska Veterans Mission of Mercy (VetMOM) event. The event was held on Nov. 15-16 at the Titan Army National Guard Readiness Center near Yutan, NE.

The room was filled with grateful patients and their family members alongside dental care providers and other volunteers who were honored to give back to those who have served our country.

As one patient’s family member shared, “What a fantastic and needed service for veterans. I have nothing but positive feedback and gratitude to share. The positive impact this event has is tremendous. A huge thank you to all the providers, organizers, sponsors and volunteers.”
