Waukesha County Technical College Dental Hygiene Program Expands With the Support of a Wisconsin Department of Health Services Oral Health Grant
Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC) Dental Hygiene Program is proud to announce its expansion, thanks to a generous oral health grant awarded by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS). This grant will fund an additional 10 new dental chairs, significantly increasing the program’s capacity to serve both students and the community.
The addition of these chairs comes at a critical time, as the demand for skilled dental hygienists continues to rise throughout Wisconsin. This expansion will allow WCTC to admit an additional 10 students, starting in fall 2025, addressing the growing dental hygiene shortage across the state and enhancing access to care for underserved populations.
The oral health grant will help ensure that WCTC continues to meet the evolving needs of the health care industry while promoting oral health in Waukesha County and beyond. This funding reflects the state’s commitment to improving oral health care access and strengthening the dental hygiene workforce in Wisconsin.
