Old Dominion University graduate Ben Quansah discovered his path to dental hygiene through the Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation Summer Institute, turning an early interest in dentistry into a career.

“They said some patients could otherwise remain on waiting lists for a year or longer, including those seeking emergency care,” said Jeannie Bopp, Assistant Professor in Dental Hygiene at the Oregon Institute of Technology. “The clinics helped relieve part of the backlog local dentists face in providing care to vulnerable populations.”

Gies,” said Marsha Pyle, D.D.S., M.Ed., President of the ADEAGies Foundation. “Through their bold ideas and commitment to advancing oral health, these honorees are creating meaningful and lasting change in our communities, our institutions and our profession.”
