Bulletin of Dental Education

Columbus State Community College Dental Hygiene students recently participated in the Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association’s annual Advocacy Day at the Ohio Statehouse. Students gained a firsthand look at the legislative process and the role dental hygienists play outside of the clinic in shaping oral health policy.

In the 2024-25 academic year, a new generation of dentists graduated from 67 accredited U.S. dental schools. ADEA surveyed these graduates before graduation to capture the factors that influenced on their motivations to pursue careers in dentistry, aspects of their dental school experiences, plans upon graduation and the investments made in their careers.
