2024 ADEA/AADOCR/Friends of NIDCR Advocacy Day

Dates: April 10-11, 2024
Venue: Capitol Hill
Location: Washington, DC

The online registration deadline has passed.

On April 10-11, 2024, the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (AADOCR) and the Friends of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (FNIDCR) will join forces for our 2024 Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill.

Please join us and be The Voice of Dental Education!

Together, we will raise the visibility of oral health, promote investment in dental education and training programs and champion NIDCR-funded research.

With the many competing federal funding priorities facing Congress and the calls to cut spending, it is important for the dental education and dental, oral and craniofacial research communities to inform policymakers how funding dental training programs and dental research positively contributes to the overall health and well-being of the American people.

Your participation in Advocacy Day helps demonstrate that increased investments in biomedical research and oral health training programs are having a tangible impact on people in lawmakers’ home states.

This event will be held in person on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. On April 10, registered participants will receive a legislative briefing and training session featuring speakers from Congress and various federal agencies, including the Health Resources and Services Administration and the NIDCR.

April 11 will be dedicated to group meetings on Capitol Hill with congressional offices, including meetings with participants’ own elected officials and their staff.

There is a $25 registration fee for Advocacy Day to help offset some of the cost of food, Congressional meeting scheduling, advocacy training and printed materials. The deadline to register for Advocacy Day is Feb. 23.

Register today and we’ll see you in April in Washington, DC!

Hotels: Here is a list of recommended hotelsPDF within walking distance of ADEA. Advocacy training will take place at the ADEA office.
