#GoDental20 COVID-19 Update
March 4, 2020 (Confirmed March 6, 2020)
Dear ADEA Colleagues,
We look forward to seeing you at the 2020 ADEA GoDental Recruitment Event, which is proceeding as planned on March 14 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD.
We realize there are many questions in light of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak, so I want to take a moment to address your concerns and let you know we are paying close attention to this evolving situation.
The health and safety of our attendees coming to National Harbor to participate in the ADEA GoDental Recruitment Event is our top priority. To help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses, including flu and COVID-19, attendees are encouraged to comply with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations:
- Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when sick.
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow or use a tissue to cover your sneeze, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Avoid handshaking or cheek-kissing as greetings—use the elbow bump instead.
ADEA is taking additional actions, such as having a nurse onsite in the first aid station, providing hand sanitizer throughout the convention center, and displaying informational signage.
