Tolga Vural is a Corporate Strategist at Aegean Associates who helps organizations develop growth strategies and drive them for results. Throughout his career, Mr. Vural has been building and advising growth-focused organizations, assisting them to achieve superior performance through new ventures and by realigning existing ones for growth. Mr. Vural’s work has enabled clients to grow successfully in new ways, leveraging organizational design, innovation, customer centricity, branding and innovative business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) marketing initiatives as well as strategic partnerships, alliances and acquisitions.

Through his consulting work that spans 30-plus years, Mr. Vural has helped a wide variety of clients and their boards of directors with organizational challenges. His clients have included non-profit organizations such as AARP, SourceAmerica, BroadFutures, Internet Society, Youth About Business, Gap Connections, American Industrial Hygiene Association, Smart Electric Power Alliance and American Society of Consulting Arborists; health sector providers, payers and pharmaceuticals such as GSK, Merck and Novartis; financial services organizations such as American Express, Bank of America, Swiss Re and the World Bank Group; retailers such as LL Bean and Ahold; telecom service providers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and British Telecom; media conglomerates such as Reed Elsevier and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt; and other leading organizations such as Microsoft, Dun & Bradstreet, MetLife, Korn Ferry, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Aimbridge and Givaudan.

Prior to Aegean Associates, as a Principal in the Strategy practice of Booz Allen Hamilton, Mr. Vural led the launch and growth of new commercial markets in the United States and internationally. Previously, he was VP of Strategy and Engagement at AARP, where he led new strategic market initiatives. As Strategy & Analytics Vice President at marketing agency, Digitas, a subsidiary of ad agency Publicis, Mr. Vural developed and implemented B2C and B2B marketing campaigns for clients such as LL Bean, American Express and Stop & Shop. As Vice President of Strategy & Marketing at Reed Elsevier, Mr. Vural transformed several business units of LexisNexis from commoditized information aggregators to value-added solution providers. Earlier in his career, Mr. Vural held positions of increasing responsibility, leading strategy engagements at Deloitte Consulting’s Braxton Global Strategy practice, CSC Index and Oliver Wyman.

Mr. Vural has taught at Georgetown University’s School of Business’s Change Management Advanced Practitioners program, George Washington University’s M.B.A. program and Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management. He serves on the World Economic Forum’s Technology Empowerment Network and on the Board of Advisors of RES Partners and has been quoted in notable publications such as Wall Street Journal, Financial Post and Boston Business Journal.

Mr. Vural received a B.A. with honors from Harvard College and an M.B.A. in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
