Philopateer currently serves as the ADEA District 12 Commissioner, where he is dedicated to expanding ADEA chapters across Canadian dental schools. In addition, he is an active member of the Noma Action Group (NAG) at University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, working alongside peers to raise awareness and contribute to efforts aimed at ending noma, a disease of the face primarily affecting malnourished children in impoverished communities. Philopateer earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in leadership from the University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan, US. His unique academic journey, spanning both the United States and Canada, has shaped his global perspective on dentistry and healthcare.
