Dr. Meredith A. Bailey is a general dentist and Clinical Assistant Professor at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she serves as Director of Educational Support and Performance Evaluation. She is the Founder and Course Director of “AI in Dentistry.”

Dr. Bailey is a nationally recognized leader in organized dentistry. She is a former President of the Massachusetts Dental Society and a former Chair of the American Dental Association’s (ADA) Council on Ethics, Bylaws and Judicial Affairs. She currently serves on the ADA Standards Consensus Body 12: Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge Management and contributed to the 2023 ADA white paper on dental imaging and artificial intelligence (AI) as well as authoring a Journal of the American Dental Association publication on AI and ethics. Dr. Bailey is also a panelist for AI and Innovation on ADA Oral Health 2050.

Dr. Bailey earned her M.B.A. with a concentration in Health Sector Management from the Boston University Questrom School of Business. She received her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine and her D.M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, where she serves on the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and she is a Member-at-Large on the American College of Dentists New England Board of Fellows.

Dr. Bailey is passionate about helping educators and clinicians responsibly integrate AI into advance education, improve patient care and shape the future of the dental profession.
