Don’t miss the 2024 ADEA Allied Dental Program Directors’ Conference—Building a Resilient Future―on June 1–4 in Washington, DC! As the only conference for allied dental program directors, by allied dental program directors—#ADPDC2024 will bring allied dental education leaders together for four days of interactive educational sessions, inspiring keynote presentations, updates from CODA and limitless collaboration and networking opportunities with fellow allied dental education leaders and corporate partners.
The past few years have tested our patience, stamina, passion and resilience. This year, let’s come together to Build Our Resilience. Programming includes helping your part-time faculty transition to full time, innovative faculty calibration activities, curriculum mapping, and the return of PechaKucha.
You’ll have a chance to learn more about dental therapists and their work in the United States, and we are pleased to have join us the first Chief Dental Officer of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Dr. Natalia Chalmers. The entire morning on day 4 will be dedicated to CODA staff, who will answer your questions.

Registration fees for this conference are based on individual ADEA membership. You must be a current ADEA member to qualify for the member registration rate. If you are not a current ADEA member, the nonmember rate will apply.

DC highlights tour
Join us for the DC Highlights Tour! This optional four-hour tour for $62 explores memorials and landmarks in the heart of the capital city. You'll visit the exterior of the White House to the Lincoln Memorial; United States Navy Memorial; Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial; the Vietnam Veterans Memorial; and more. Travel in the comfort of a climate-controlled coach as we wind through DC, with photo stops and a guide to share the stories behind each destination.
The bus will pick us up at The Westin Washington, DC Downtown hotel at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, June 3. Visit the DC Highlights Tour website for more information.
Sign up for this optional tour when you register for the conference. If you are interested in joining the tour but did not have the opportunity to sign up for it when you registered, please contact our Registration Manager, Shalonda King, at KingS@adea.org. Please indicate in the subject line that you are emailing about the DC Monument Tour for ADPDC.
Guest policy
Registration of guests will be limited to one adult guest (18 years or older) who is not a dental education colleague. The registered adult guest may attend all Saturday and Sunday evening events. Individuals under the age of 21 are not permitted at events where alcohol is served.
Cancellation
If you are unable to attend, please submit a written cancellation message by Friday, May 3 to Shalonda King, ADEA Senior Manager, Meetings Registration, at KingS@adea.org. ADEA will issue a refund—minus a $75 processing fee—after the meeting’s conclusion. Cancellation requests received after May 3 are not eligible for refund or credit.
Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events or early departure.
Health and safety
While we look forward to an in-person conference, there is no higher priority than the safety and well-being of ADEA members and staff. Accordingly, we continue to monitor the status of the COVID-19 variants and their impact on the operational status of our ADEA Member Institutions. ADEA will implement health and safety protocols appropriate to the public health circumstances existing at the time of the conference. Compliance with some or all the protocols adopted by ADEA will be mandatory for in-person attendance and participation at the conference by members, guests of members, sponsors, staff, etc.
Additional information regarding the specific health and safety measures, and any necessary consents by you, will be communicated prior to the first day of the conference. Failure to adhere to or comply with the safety protocols in place may result in removal from the event and/or event premises.
