The Gies Awards honor one awardee in each of the three categories:
- Gies Award for Eminence in Innovation
- Gies Award for Eminence in Achievement
- Gies Award for Eminence in Vision and Leadership
In each category, awardees can be individuals, institutions or public/private partners who are advancing dental education in the most significant ways.
In addition to celebrating our four 2026 Gies Awards Honorees, the ADEAGies Foundation® will be celebrating 100 years since the publication of the landmark report by the Carnegie Foundation in 1926: Dental Education in the United States and Canada, authored by Dr. William J. Gies and commonly referred to as the “Gies Report.”
