The American Dental Association’s (ADA) Golden Apple Awards Program is a unique opportunity for constituent and component dental societies to gain valuable recognition for their leaders, members and staff. The program has 12 opportunities for dental societies to showcase programs and activities produced between June 1, 2013 and May 31, 2014.
The Council on Dental Education and Licensure (CDEL) Golden Apple Award for “Inspiring Careers in Dental Education” recognizes members and/or faculty members who are outstanding mentors willing to share their knowledge to enhance the scholarly, professional and personal development of aspiring and emerging dental faculty. This category is open to nominations from not only constituent and component dental societies, but also other dental organizations, ADA members and students.
Nominations are not limited to dentists, but any dentist nominated must be an ADA member. For an entry to be eligible, the entry form must be properly completed, signed and follow all published guidelines for entries. A form must be completed for each entry and there is no fee for entering. Each entry will be acknowledged by email by the ADA within 10 days of receipt.
All participants will be advised of the judges’ decisions no later than June 1. Award recipients will be asked to keep the decision of the judges confidential until the date of the official announcement. The Award Recipient will receive support from the Council on Dental Education and Licensure to attend the 2014 ADA Annual Session.
All entries become the property of the ADA. The ADA is not responsible for entries lost or delayed in electronic submission or in mailing or shipping.
The entry deadline is April 1, 2014. For more information, contact Esperanza Gonzalez, Lead Project Assistant, CDEL, 800-621-8099, ext. 2698 or email@example.com.
