Vice Presidents Elected to the American Dental Education Association

Evelyn O. Lucas-Perry; Barbara Nordquist, R.D.S.A.; and Michael A. Siegel, D.D.S., M.S., were elected ADEA Vice Presidents at the 2010 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition in Washington, DC.

Ms. Lucas-Perry will serve a one-year term as ADEA Vice President for Students, Residents, and Fellows. In 2009, Ms. Lucas-Perry completed an internship with the ADEA Center for Equity and Diversity, where she researched diversity programs at U.S. dental schools and analyzed them from a policy perspective. She is currently a third-year dental student and will graduate in 2011 with D.D.S. and M.P.H. degrees from the University of Michigan.

Ms. Nordquist was elected ADEA Vice President for the Corporate Council and will serve a three-year term. She is Vice President, Academic Relations; Pelton & Crane, KaVo, Marus Dental Corporation. Ms. Nordquist has been a member of the ADEA Corporate Council since 2006 and the ADEA Women's Affairs Advisory Committee since 2008. She is also a Fellow of the ADEA Leadership Institute Class of 2011.

Dr. Siegel was elected ADEA Vice President for Faculties and will also serve a three-year term. He is Chair of the Department of Diagnostic Sciences and Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He has been a member of the ADEA Council of Faculties since 2005. Dr. Siegel serves on the editorial board of Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Endodontics. He is Past President of the American Academy of Oral Medicine, Past President of the American Board of Oral Medicine, and Past Chairman of the American Dental Association's Council on Scientific Affairs.
