The Opioid Epidemic and Dental Education—Addressing the Challenge

Dates: November 08, 2017
Venue: 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time
Location: Conference Call,

Important legislative activity here in Washington and in state capitals across the nation continues at a rapid pace, and we want to make sure we are meeting our members’ needs for up-to-date and relevant information.

“The Opioid Epidemic and Dental Education—Addressing the Challenge” will spotlight a recent joint ADEA Summit on this topic with the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and will highlight future ADEA efforts as we analyze the release of the final, 138-page report of The President’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis and its implications for academic dentistry.

In this call, Denice Stewart, D.D.S., M.H.S.A., ADEA Chief Policy Officer and Tim Leeth, ADEA Chief Advocacy Officer will share their perspectives on next steps within dental education in North America. The call also will include brief updates on other key state and federal issues.

We look forward to your thoughts, comments and questions as we collectively address this crisis that knows no borders.

ADEA Government Relations Conference Calls are open to all members.
