2020 ADEA Emerging Leaders Program

The registration deadline is Monday, June 22. Onsite registration will not be available.

 

To receive ADEA’s discounted rate, make your reservations online or directly with the hotel by calling 1-888-236-2427 and requesting the ADEA group rate (group code is ADA).

The program will begin with breakfast at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15 and end at noon on Saturday, July 18

 

The ADEA hotel block rates are available three days before and after the program dates based on guest room availability.

 

The closest airport is Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). The hotel is approximately 4.7 miles
from the airport or a 11−15 minute ride, depending on traffic.

The following are travel options to and from the airport:

▷ Metrorail System

For less than $6, passengers can get to any location on the Metrorail system from the Metrorail station connected to Terminal B/C. (The Mt. Vernon Square Metro station on the Yellow Line is the closest Metro station to the Renaissance Washington DC Hotel.)

▷ Taxi/ Uber

A taxi/Uber ride to and from the airport is approximately 11−15 minutes depending on traffic.

Driving directions to the Residence Inn Washington Downtown/Convention Center can be found on the hotel website. Driving time may be affected by local conditions and traffic.

Daily parking is available at the following nearby locations:

  • Laz Parking (505 K Street, NW) is approximately $20.

Attire for this meeting is business casual, but be sure to check the local weather forecast to determine more specific attire.

Attire for the Thursday Group Networking Event and Dinner is casual. You will have time to change at the hotel before the motor coach picks everyone up at the Residence Inn.

ADEA does not allow children to attend any conference functions. If children accompany a participant to the conference, arrangements should be made for their supervision.


The 2020 ADEA Emerging Leaders Program is a highly interactive experience and participants are expected to attend all meals, receptions and team-building activities. You are encouraged to spend your limited “free time” with your peer groups and preparing for the following day’s activities. The program does not allow you to bring guests or family members to meals or offsite events.

 

To provide an appropriate professional setting, ADEA does not allow children under age 18 to attend any conference functions or programming. We request that you arrange for the supervision of children who accompany you.

To receive a refund for your conference registration, you must submit a written cancellation by Monday, June 22 to Shalonda King at KingS@adea.org.

ADEA will issue a refund—minus a $225 processing fee—after the meeting’s conclusion.

Cancellation requests received between Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, July 1 are eligible for a 50% refund or credit.

Cancellation requests received after July 1 are not eligible for refund or credit. Refunds or credits will not be given for failure to attend, late arrival, unattended events or early departure.

Speaker presentations will be provided within the online program planner, which will be made available closer to the event.

 

Yes, CE credits will be provided. An email with instructions on how to obtain CE credits will be sent to all attendees after the conference.
