Landscape of Learning

In an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world, the dental education community has an important obligation to embrace life-long learning and to plant the seeds that will encourage their students to do the same. Success in the changing landscape of dentistry requires that dental educators, administrators, and students actively engage in reflective learning throughout their careers. Effective growth through life-long learning requires insightful reflection, openness to change and innovative ideas, and a capacity to understand how those changes and ideas impact the entire dental education landscape, including curriculum and pedagogy.

More than 2,200 attendees from across the United States and Canada attended the 2013 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition, March 16-19, at the Washington State Convention & Trade Center, in Seattle. ADEA’s most anticipated and highly attended networking and education event brought together dental education community members for four days of plenary sessions with world renowned presenters, faculty development workshops, and a Presidential Symposium.
