How should programs prepare for the 2020 application cycle?

  1. Act early to complete ADEA PASS Search Engine updates.
  2. Assess whether to take advantage of the customization options. If so, complete them in the Configuration Portal by May 1. Requests for personal statements are part of the customization features.

What’s different for programs once the 2019-20 cycle opens?

  1. Programs receive official National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) and Advanced Dental Admission Test (ADAT) scores/results electronically, following an applicants’ request.
  2. The PDF in WebAdMIT will be formatted differently.

How should applicants prepare?

  1. Professional Evaluation Forms (PEFs) cannot be customized. Applicants must select three evaluators for the cycle and each program will receive all three evaluation forms.
  2. Personal statement essays can still be customized for each program. Whether writing one or five, essays must be matched to each designation.
