Call for Poster Abstracts
Submission
Deadline: Dec. 17, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time
The American Dental Education Association
(ADEA) invites submissions for academic posters for inclusion in the 2019 ADEA International Women’s Leadership Conference VI (ADEA IWLC),
Learning Perspectives in Leadership. The 2019 ADEA IWLC brings
together an array of audiences across the globe who are committed to gender
equity and advancing women’s leadership in academic dentistry and research.
POSTER
SUBMISSIONS
Posters
must be research and academically focused, centralized on gender equity and
leadership from a global context.
For the abstract you will be
required to input the following elements with an overall word count of 300 words in each section, except for the title:
- Title
- Aims and objectives
- Materials and methods
- Results
- Conclusions
Submissions are housed on the Association
for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) abstract
Submission System. Please select “ADEA IWLC VI” as the topic for your abstract.
If you do not already have an ADEE.org user account, select “Option 4” and carefully follow the
online instructions to submit an abstract.
Be sure to retain your ADEE login and password. if your abstract is accepted
and you are notified, you will be required to log in and upload the final
poster for the poster display system.
You may work on several abstracts on the submission system at a time, however
each abstract must be submitted separately and by one person.

POSTER FORMAT
Posters will be in e-poster format. These are highly interactive
electronic posters allowing authors to link to multimedia and a wide variety of
content. While there will be no formal presentation session for posters,
they will be incorporated into various elements of the meeting.
TIMELINE AND EXPECTATIONS
Submissions will be evaluated by an editorial panel. Posters will be
designated as accepted, accepted with modifications, or not considered.
The closing
date for receipt of poster abstract submissions is Monday,
Dec. 17, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Inclusion of
submissions received after this time is at the discretion of the editorial
panel.
Successful
applicants will be notified of the outcome in early January.
All individuals whose posters are accepted are
expected to register and attend the meeting and actively participate in the
meeting activities.
Authors will be expected to
construct their e-poster from mid-March to mid-April 2019.
Important: The key contact email used in the poster submission
process will be the sole point of contact for that poster. It is imperative you
monitor the inbox for email provided as all communication, including invitation
links to the display platform, will be shared to that email address.
Submit
your poster before the Dec. 16, 2018 deadline.
