Fact or Fiction: The Truth About Dental School
Meet the Speakers:
Tyler Brown graduated from Howard University in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management. After undergrad, he served as the Program Coordinator for the Smiles Across America Program at Oral Health America in Chicago. Following his tenure in Chicago, he started a master’s program at Barry University in Miami, FL. In the fall of 2017, he entered dental school at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where he is pursuing his D.M.D. Tyler enjoys finding innovative ways to promote oral health and leverages social media to communicate this with the world.
Tyrell Fridie graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Morehouse College. After obtaining his degree, he attended Barry University in Southern Florida, where he earned his master’s in Biomedical Sciences. In the fall of 2017, he began his dental school journey at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where he earned a scholarship and is currently pursuing his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. His passion for increasing diversity in health care and mentoring predental students inspires him to connect with students via social media and develop innovative ways to help them throughout their journey into the dental professions.
