McGill University Faculty of Dentistry

  • Deadline Date: Oct. 15, 2021
  • Interview Format: The Multiple Mini-Interviews will either be done in-person or virtually. The final decision will be posted on our website in September 2021.
  • Shadowing Requirements: A minimum number of shadowing hours is not required but dental shadowing is strongly recommended.
  • Coursework Exceptions: Winter 2020 grades will not be considered in the academic evaluation (GPA), but successfully completed courses will be counted toward degree totals as reported on the institution's transcript. As well, winter 2020 semester credits will not be considered when assessing eligibility related to full-time studies. A minimum number of graded credits is required for the assessment of your academic performance. Please refer to the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry (McGill FOD) 4-Year D.M.D. Program Requirements page for more details.
  • Other: In light of continued public health concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Admissions Committee has decided to remove the Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) as a requirement for entry in the undergraduate dental programs for fall 2022. This is an exceptional and temporary measure due to the pandemic.
