2021 ADEA Emerging Leaders Program (Virtual)


The 2021 ADEA Emerging Leaders Program will be held as a virtual conference in an online-only format from Thursday, April 29 to Saturday, May 1.


The ADEA Emerging Leaders Program is designed to provide early-career faculty who show great promise as potential leaders the guidance, insight and skills needed to build an academic career.


During the meeting, fellows will engage with senior leaders in dental education and work in peer groups to discuss leadership development and other essential subjects in academic dentistry.


Registration for all events includes access to the full event program.

▷ What elements of the 2021 ADEA Emerging Leaders Program will the virtual session include?

The virtual session will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time each day.

▷ How do I Register?

  1. Click the REGISTRATION button on the registration page.
    (NOTE: Registration covers access to programming for all three event days.)
  2. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email message.
  3. Upon completion of registration, you will be given the option to add this event to your calendar.

▷ How can I address registration issues/changes?

▷ I’m not a member. Can I participate?

Yes. This event is open to ADEA members and non-members.


▷ Can I register my colleagues for these events?

No. Group registration is not possible for these events. Individual registrations are required.


▷ Can I share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?

For each individual registered to attend virtually, only one device (computer, laptop, tablet, phone) will be allowed to enter the virtual conference.

 

▷ How do I join the virtual event?

To join the live event, please click the Zoom link in your event reminder email.

 

▷ Do I need Zoom to participate in the virtual conference?

We recommend that you download Zoom Client for Meetings ahead of time.

The web browser client will download automatically when you start or join your first Zoom meeting, but we recommend that you manually download it prior to the conference using the link above.

Although you do not need to download the Zoom application to participate—you can run the meeting in your browser by clicking “Join from your browser” at the bottom of the page—the viewing experience is better through the app.

▷ How will I access the sessions through Zoom?

An email reminder with the Zoom link will be shared with attendees prior to the conference.


 

▷ Are CE credits available for these sessions? If so, how can I obtain CE credits?

The American Dental Education Association is an American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADEA CERP) Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

Continuing education credit is awarded for participation in individual designated educational sessions and not for overall 2021 ADEA Emerging Leaders Program attendance. An email with instructions on how to obtain CE credits will be sent to all attendees after the conference.
