2020 ADEA Deans' Conference



The 2020 ADEA Deans’ Conference will be held as a virtual conference in an online-only format.


Come together to collaborate with your colleagues in academic dentistry this fall at the 2020 ADEA Deans’ Conference, a series of three virtual, interactive and collaborative events on Nov. 6, 13 and 20, with the added opportunity to continue the conversation via ADEA Connect between sessions.


Registration for all livestream events is complimentary. This event is by invitation only.

The shift from an in-person event to a virtual conference provides the ADEA Council of Deans an opportunity to rethink the meeting from a point-in-time moment to an extended conversation about the future of dental education. This will be done through three half-day sessions over a three-week period.


Conference sessions have been be informed by questions and issues identified by the ADEA Council of Deans during Townhall Meetings this summer. The Deans’ Conference is a new way to learn from and support each other, and to make the most of the disruptions that have forced us to work differently.

Registration for all events is free. Each virtual session will be from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Nov. 6, 13 and 20.

Please note that the Deans' Conference is by invitation only.


▷ How do I Register?

  1. Click the REGISTRATION button on the registration page.
    (NOTE: Registration covers access to programming for all event days.)
  2. Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation email message.
  3. Upon completion of registration, you will be given an option to add this event to your calendar.

▷ How can I address registration issues/changes?

▷ I’m not a member. Can I participate?

This event is open to ADEA members only.


▷ Can I register my colleagues for these events?

No. Group registration is not possible for these events. Individual registrations are required.


▷ Can I share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?

For each individual registered to attend virtually, only one device (computer, laptop, tablet, phone) will be allowed to enter the virtual conference.

 

▷ How do I join the virtual event?

To join the live event, please click the “Access Virtual Event” button found in your registration confirmation or event reminder email.

▷ Are CE credits available for these sessions? If so, how can I obtain CE credits?

To receive CE credit, please complete the evaluation process for all eligible attended sessions. Education session evaluations will be emailed following the event and must be completed by Dec. 15, 2020.


ADEA is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association (ADA) to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.


Continuing education credit is awarded for participation in individual designated educational sessions and not for overall 2020 ADEA Deans’ Conference attendance.
