Andrea Denise Jackson, D.D.S., M.S., FACP,
FACD, has been named Interim Dean of the Howard University College of Dentistry
(HUCD). Dr. Jackson has served in positions of increasing responsibility at HUCD,
most recently as Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs and Associate Professor in
the Department of Prosthodontics.
A respected clinician, Dr. Jackson completed
her B.S. in Zoology and D.D.S. at Howard University. She then completed a
Certificate in General Dentistry at Howard University Hospital and Certificate
and Master of Science in Prosthodontics at Georgetown University.
Dr. Jackson has served in various capacities
with national dental organizations, including as a member of the Joint
Commission on National Dental Board Examinations, Prosthodontics, Test
Construction Committee; a member of the Quality Assurance Committee for the
Commission on Dental Competency Assessments; and as Chair of the ADEA Section
on Prosthodontics. She is a Diplomate in the American Board of Prosthodontics,
a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists and a Fellow in the
American College of Dentists.
