ADEA’s Allied Dental 2020: An Analysis of the Results of the 2020 ADEA Survey of Allied Dental Program Directors in the United States Summary Report is now available. The summary report is an analysis of ADEA’s biennial allied dental survey efforts to examine various aspects of the activity of accredited U.S. allied dental education programs during the 2019-20 academic year. The analysis reflects the characteristics of the 58% of accredited U.S. allied dental education programs that responded to the 2020 ADEA Allied Dental survey. This summary report highlights allied dental faculty demographics, program director workloads and salaries, student competency achievement and graduation requirements, and faculty vacant and lost positions.
ADEA members have access to the summary report, the Excel tables report and an online storyboard with interactive charts at adea.org/AlliedDental2020.
We are now preparing the inaugural 2022 ADEA Survey of Graduating Allied Dental Students that will be launched in spring 2022. I hope you will assist us in encouraging your senior students to complete the survey and provide important information for the future of dental education.
