The ADEA Survey of Dental School Seniors, 2020 Graduating Class, opened on April 15. The survey was sent to designated dental school representatives that distributed the survey to graduating students. This year’s survey is abbreviated, concentrating on key elements and adding a few questions on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the educational process.
Each year, ADEA surveys all senior dental students to gather information about their education and future plans. ADEA considered whether the survey should be conducted this year and, upon the advice of the ADEA Council of Deans and others, decided to go forward. The information gathered is important, perhaps even more so in this unprecedented situation.
Student participation in the ADEA survey is important for dental schools to:
- Learn about graduating students’ dental school experience.
- See how the 2020 class compares with previous graduating classes.
- Plan more effectively for and serve future students.
You can find the results of the 2019 ADEA Dental School Seniors Survey here. Findings from past survey years can be found on the ADEA website.
ADEA will keep the survey open through June 30, 2020. The findings from the survey will be released Fall 2020. For any questions related to the survey, please contact the ADEA team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
