CDMA GKAS 2019 1On Saturday, Oct. 19, Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Arizona (CDMA) hosted Give Kids A Smile, part of the nationwide initiative to provide underserved children with much needed dental care at no cost to families.

Give Kids A Smile took place at the Midwestern University Dental Institute at the university’s Glendale Campus, with 180 CDMA students volunteering to provide care and education. Over 200 patients ages 6 to 14 received free screenings and treatments, including cleanings, sealants, fillings and extractions—more than 720 procedures representing nearly $29,000 of free care. The students also provided families with important information on proper oral health maintenance and disease prevention.
