It may be winter, but three summer opportunities
are available to dental and medical students at the National Institutes of
Health (NIH). The Graduate Summer Opportunities to Advance Research Program,
the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) Summer
Dental Student Award and the NIH Summer Internship Program recently posted
their applications for summer 2019. These federal programs are designed to
expose students to advanced oral health and biomedical science research and
administration.
Each year, ADEA works to secure federal
funding for NIH generally and NIDCR
specifically. These programs are critical to advancing dental, oral and
craniofacial research for all Americans. The research performed at NIH has the
power to transform how we promote health, treat disease and overcome health
disparities. In conjunction with ADEA's corporate partners, ADEA offers various
scholarships, awards and fellowships for students and dental
educators. This year’s award recipients will be announced during the
2019
ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition in Chicago, IL, March 16–19, 2019.
