Feb. 23, ADEA submitted comments on the reauthorization of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA) in
response to a request for input by the Senate Committee on Health, Education,
Labor and Pensions (HELP). In addition to sending its own comments, ADEA
joined the American Council on Education and other higher education coalition
partners in addressing collective goals in two additional letters .
focused specifically on issues affecting dental education such as loan
forgiveness programs, increased interest rates and the capping of graduate
student loans that had been targeted in the House reauthorization bill, the PROSPER Act.
