In early October, the Health Resources Services
Administration (HRSA) awarded a $1.6
million grant to the Indiana University School of Dentistry to help
the school expand dental services to underserved areas. The grant will allow
the school to expand a program where fourth-year dental students work in
two-week rotations at a community clinic in a dental health professional
shortage area. The school is also providing just over $700,000 in funding for a
total of just over $2.3 million for the program.
