► What will the 2020 ADEA Annual Session Honors and Symposia include?

The virtual session will feature key highlights from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on each date:

July 10: Chair of the ADEA Board Honors

We will honor the legacy of the late Henry Gremillion, D.D.S., MAGD, ADEA’s Immediate Past Chair of the Board, including his many contributions to and vision for academic dentistry. Dr. Gremillion’s selected Chair of the ADEA Board of Directors Citations and the ADEA Distinguished Service Award will be presented in this session.


July 17: Chair of the Board of Directors Symposium—Celebrating Diversity Through Teaching Strategies and Administrative Policies.


July 22: Chair of the Board of Directors Symposium—Faculty Development for Student Enrichment: Gauging Dental Faculty Burnout and Creating a Culture of Resilience.


July 24: 2020 Gies Awards @Home Awards Show.

 

Registration for all livestream events is free and includes access to on-demand content.

► How to Register:

  1. Click the REGISTRATION button to view the course listing and to register.
    (NOTE: Registration for one event grants access to all four events; therefore, only one event can be added to the cart.)
  2. From the course page, select ADD TO CART then PROCEED TO CHECKOUT.  
  3. Upon registration, you will receive FIVE confirmation emails: One for the full 2020 ADEA Honors and Symposia course and a separate confirmation email for each event.  
  4. The JOIN button and the option to add a calendar reminder will be provided on each confirmation email.

► How can I address registration issues/changes?

To cancel your registration, email Shalonda King at KingS@adea.org.


► I’m not an ADEA member—can I participate?

Yes. If you do not have an adea.org login, click on the “sign up” link in the top right corner of adea.org/elearn to create an account before registering for the events.

 

► How do I join the virtual event?

  1. Click the JOIN button in your confirmation email of the appropriate event to open the ADEA eLearn site.  
  2. Click the JOIN LIVE WEB EVENT button on the event page to enter the session.
    (The button will appear 30 minutes before the specified start time.)

  • To ensure your computer is compatible for the live event, please perform a system check by clicking on the link below or by copying and pasting it into your internet browser: https://bsb.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm
  • Please perform the system check on the same computer you will use for the live event. If your computer is compatible, you will receive a confirmation message on your screen and hear audio. Otherwise, please contact the Help Desk to resolve any issues.

Audio can be heard through your computer speakers. Please be sure your computer speakers are on and the volume is turned up.

The live event Help Desk is staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday to Friday, and from one hour prior to the start of the event through its completion.

The ADEA2020 On-Demand series is another way ADEA is committed to serving the needs of its members. The ADEA2020 On-Demand courses are eligible for CE credit and are accessible in the ADEA eLearn library.

 

► How do I view the abstracts for posters accepted for the 2020 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition?

The poster and TechExpo abstracts are published in the February 2020 issue of the Journal of Dental Education. 

 

► Are CE credits offered for these sessions? If so, how can I obtain CE credits?

  • CE credits are available for the two symposia sessions. A post-event survey link will be provided at the end of the webinar and an email with that same information will be sent to you one hour after the presentation concludes. After you complete the survey, a certificate will be generated.

  • CE credits are not available for the Chair of the ADEA Board Honors and the Gies @Home Awards sessions.

► I didn’t get the post-event survey. How can I get it?


► I didn’t get my CE credits for this session. How can I get them?


► Will this event be recorded?

Yes the session recording will be placed online at adea.org/elearn in about a week.


► Can I register my colleagues for these events?

No. Group registration is not possible for these events. Individual registrations are required.
