One of the feature sessions taking place at the 5th ADEA International Women's Leadership Conference (IWLC) in Barcelona, Women's Leadership: Impact, Innovation and Industry, includes panelists: Drs. Teresa Dolan, DENTSPLY International; Kathryn Atchison, University of California, Los Angeles; Anousheh Alavi, Colgate Palmolive (UK); and Gillian Barclay, Aetna Foundation — all women leaders who have adapted skills to forge pathways outside of the dental/medical education, clinical practice and research environments. They will discuss their personal skill sets and the opportunities and challenges of moving beyond a traditional dental career.

As a prelude to the IWLC presentation in Barcelona, Drs. Dolan and Atchison will host a webinar on women's leadership series titled Leaning In: A New Era of Women Leaders, the first webinar in the ADEA Policy Center's Leading Conversations webinar series.

Women's career longevity spans 40-50 years. In the context of a full career, there are many things that women can do outside of an academic career. There are a range of opportunities for women to grow and develop. Join Drs. Dolan and Atchison for an engaging discussion about strategic career thinking and creative career planning and begin to answer the question "how do I get from here to there?"
