ADEA recognizes achievement and distinction among its members through an awards program. Among the awards offered in conjunction with ADEA's corporate partners are student scholarships, awards for educators, and funding opportunities for various fellowships.
Each year in the fall ADEA opens award nominations. Self nominations from individual members are accepted for many. Awards range from $1,000 scholarships to $15,000 in support of leadership development education or $15,000 stipends to pursue three-month fellowships in Washington, DC.
ADEA Member Institutions are also eligible for significant monetary recognition for research and work with new procedures.
Also, through the ADEAGies Foundation ADEA provides financial support for dental education, research, and leadership. The Foundation confers the annual Gies Awards, bringing recognition to outstanding individuals and institutional leaders in global oral health and oral health education.
Please note that applications for awards will not be accepted once a deadline has passed.

Instructions:

ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarship for Dental Hygiene Students Pursuing Academic Careers - Two $2,000 scholarships for dental hygiene students pursuing academic careers.
ADEA/Sigma Phi Alpha Linda DeVore Scholarship - A $1,000 scholarship recognizing an individual studying allied dental education at the baccalaureate, master's, or doctoral degree level.

ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Excellence in Teaching Award - A $2,500 award to enhance teaching efforts to an educator who demonstrates exemplary standards and promotes excellence through scholarship and innovation.
ADEA/Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Products/Enid A. Neidle Scholar-in-Residence Program for Women - A $6,000 stipend to pursue a cumulative three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, researching issues affecting women faculty.

ADEA/ADEA Council of Students/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Junior Faculty Award - A $2,500 award to be used to enhance teaching, research, or service efforts.
ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive/National Dental Association Dr. Jeanne C. Sinkford Scholarship - A $15,000 scholarship to provide the opportunity for a dental educator who is closely aligned with the promotion of equity and diversity to participate in the ADEA Leadership Institute.
ADEA/Sunstar Americas, Inc./Harry W. Bruce, Jr. Legislative Fellowship - A $15,000 stipend to pursue a cumulative three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, working on issues related to the legislative agenda.
ADEA/William J. Gies Foundation Education Fellowship - A $10,000 stipend to pursue a cumulative three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, researching educational issues facing dental education.

ADEA/International Federation of Dental Education Associations Orna Shanley Prize - A $1,000 prize awarded to an academic dental institution able to demonstrate innovative solutions that address local access to care issues.
ADEA/William J. Gies Foundation Dental Research Scholarship - A $35,000 award to support interest in dental research at the predoctoral level (offered every other year).
ADEA/Zimmer Dental Implant Education Teaching Award - This program provides a $25,000 award in recognition of an institution and dental educator team that has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation in the field of implant dentistry education (offered every other year).
