ADEA/ADEAGies Foundation Dr. Anthony R. Volpe Scholar in the ADEA Leadership Institute
Through a generous commitment by Dr. Anthony R. Volpe to the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the ADEAGies Foundation, ADEA has established the ADEA/ADEAGies Foundation Dr. Anthony R. Volpe Scholar in the ADEA Leadership Institute scholarship.
more than 50 years, Dr. Volpe has been a prominent clinical researcher, educator, administrator and mentor in dentistry. As Director of Clinical Investigations and subsequently as Vice President of Clinical Dental Research and Scientific Affairs in the global oral health programs of Colgate-Palmolive Co., he led the
development, implementation and evaluation of clinical research protocols that resulted in patented and effective anti-cavity and anti-calculus dental care products.
Dr. Volpe was also a Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and is the only individual from the dental corporate world to have served as President of the American Dental Association Foundation. In recognition of his contributions to dental care,
research and education, Dr. Volpe has received many honors, including ADEA’s Distinguished Service Award and an ADEAGies Award for Outstanding Achievement – Public or Private Partner.
