Field Advocacy Workshops

ADEA Volunteer Advocacy Coordinators (VAC)

The purpose of the AADR/ADEA Field Advocacy Workshops is to educate dental educators and researchers on federal priorities and enhance their technical advocacy skills while motivating these new legislative leaders to increase participation in advocacy among faculty, administrators, and students. ADEA's goal is for all our academic dental institutions to host an advocacy workshop to cultivate the skills needed to allow ADEA members to respond quickly and effectively to ADEA advocacy imperatives.

The ADEA Center for Public Policy and Advocacy (ADEA CPPA) coordinates the agenda with each institution and conducts the program along with representatives from the dental school, the university government relations office, the state dental association, and other organizations in the community as desired by the host institution.

At the invitation of the dental institution dean, ADEA organizes an AADR/ADEA Field Advocacy Workshop spanning about three days. Below please find a roster of past and upcoming workshops:
