Scholarships, Awards and Fellowships for Dental Educators


ADEA/ADEA Council of Students, Residents, and Fellows/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Junior Faculty Award
 
This $2,500 award is designed to be used to enhance an outstanding junior faculty members's teaching, research or service efforts.


ADEA/ADEAGies Foundation Education Fellowship
 
A stipend of up to $15,000 will be awarded in 2018 for a dental educator to pursue a cumulative two to three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, researching educational issues facing dental education.


ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Allied Dental Educators Fellowship
 
During odd years (2017, 2019, 2021…), two allied dental faculty members will be awarded fellowships of $2,000 for tuition, travel and fees associated with the ADEA Allied Dental Faculty Leadership Development Program. During even years (2018, 2020, 2022…), one allied dental educator will be awarded a stipend of $4,000 to pursue a cumulative three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, D.C., focusing on issues affecting allied dental education.


ADEA/Colgate-Palmolive Co. Excellence in Teaching Award

This $2,500 award is designed to enhance the teaching efforts of an educator who demonstrates exemplary standards and promotes excellence in dental education through scholarship and innovation.


ADEA Enid A. Neidle Scholar-in-Residence Program
A stipend of up to $15,000 will be awarded to provide the opportunity for a dental educator to pursue a cumulative two to three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, researching issues affecting women faculty.


ADEA Leadership Institute Phase V Leadership Development Tuition Scholarship: ADEA Summer Program for Emerging Academic Leaders
This $1,695 tuition scholarship will enable an early career faculty member (up to three years of experience) to participate in the ADEA Summer Program for Emerging Academic Leaders in July 2018. It is supported by the ADEA Leadership Phase V Fund


ADEA/Sunstar Americas, Inc./Harry W. Bruce, Jr. Legislative Fellowship Award 
A stipend of up to $15,000 will be awarded to provide the opportunity for a dental educator to pursue a cumulative two to three-month fellowship at the ADEA office in Washington, DC, working on issues related to the legislative agenda.
