Balancing Mission and Money: Leading Dental Education During Challenging Economic Times
The economic crisis has led to significant belt-tightening at dental schools, and it threatens a further toll. Agile institutions will choose this time to institute pragmatic change that makes a difference for the future.
Learn strategies for changes that strengthen your institution at the 51st Annual ADEA Deans' Conference, taking place November 7-10, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Pointin Bonita Springs, Florida. This gathering for dental deans focuses on the imperative of "Balancing Mission and Money: Leading Dental Education During Challenging Economic Times." It will address crisis communication, faculty compensation, fundraising, innovative and cost-lowering educational approaches, and other critical topics.
ADEA member dental schools, non-hospital-based dental education programs, and federal dental services programs are invited to send two attendees to the conference, the dean plus one additional attendee. Based on the agenda and the individual needs of each institution, the additional attendee could be the academic dean, clinical dean, or chief financial officer. This year’s conference is shorter, based on feedback from attendees in previous years; it concludes at noon on Tuesday.
Registration for the conference has closed. However, you may register on site beginning Saturday, November 7, at 9:30 a.m.
