Q: What is different about the ADEA AADSAS application in 2011?
A: Individuals who applied to ADEA AADSAS in 2010 will find new features for the 2011 application cycle. ADEA AADSAS applications are processed the same as previous years. ADEA AADSAS re-applicants will notice an updated application portal interface that makes it easier to complete the application and monitor the status of all aspects of application processing. Q: I applied through ADEA AADSAS in a previous cycle. Do I have to complete another application for this cycle?
A: Yes. ADEA AADSAS does not hold previous year application information for re-applicants.
Q: Will ADEA AADSAS use the transcripts and letters of evaluation I submitted last year?
A: No. ADEA AADSAS does not permit the use of transcripts or letters of evaluation that have been submitted in previous application cycles.
Q: I applied to dental school last year. Are my chances better of being accepted this year?
A: Check with the dental schools to which you are applying. In most situations, simply re-applying does not increase your chances of being admitted. However, additional coursework completed and experiences gained may make you a more competitive applicant in a subsequent application cycle.
Q: Will the dental schools have my records from previous cycles?
A: Each dental school has its own policy about document retention. Check with designated dental schools. However, ADEA AADSAS does not keep transcripts and letters of evaluation from previous cycles.
