International Transcripts Questions

Q: I graduated from an international dental school and am seeking admission into an Advanced Standing program at a U.S./Canadian dental school. Should I apply through ADEA AADSAS?

A: No. Applicants applying to advanced standing programs for international dental graduates do not apply through ADEA AADSAS. Candidates applying to advanced standing programs should use the Centralized Application for Advanced Placement for International Dentists (CAAPID). This application service provided by ADEA was launched in June 2009-ADEA CAAPID will assist you with this need.

Please be aware that not all advanced standing programs participate in ADEA CAAPID. Please go to the ADEA CAAPID page for information on the application service. If the program you are interested in does not participate in ADEA CAAPID, you will need to apply to the program directly.

The American Dental Association provides a list of dental schools that offer advanced standing programs for international dental graduates.
