  • Why haven't I received emails from ADEA AADSAS or my designated dental schools?

Q: How do I update my email/mail address?

A: To change your e-mail address, log-in to your ADEA AADSAS application. Go to "My Profile" in the upper left corner of your application checklist. Select "Account Information" and change your information.

You can update your regular mailing address and other contact information in the Biographic Information section of the application as often as needed while the ADEA AADSAS application is open, June 3, 2013 through February, 2014. You can do this by:

  • Logging into your ADEA AADSAS application
  • Going to the Biographic Information section
  • Entering your revised email or mailing address
  • Clicking "Save" at the bottom of the page

Your changes will be automatically saved and transmitted to ADEA AADSAS. The dental schools will receive your updated information in the next mailing that occurs after you have made changes.

It is very important to keep your email address, mailing address, and other contact information (including phone numbers) current to assure that ADEA AADSAS and the dental schools can contact you.

Changes to your contact information after February 15, 2014 should be sent directly to the dental schools.

Q: Will ADEA AADSAS e-mail me about the status of my application?

A: ADEA AADSAS will email you periodically throughout the application cycle, and will also send email messages about missing or problematic application materials. Make sure your email address provided in the ADEA AADSAS application is current.

To check on the status of your application, log-in to your ADEA AADSAS application and check the STATUS section. You may also contact ADEA AADSAS via email at (aadsasinfo@aadsasweb.org) or phone (617) 612-2045.

Q: Why haven't I received emails from ADEA AADSAS or my designated dental schools?

A: ADEA AADSAS will email you about missing or problematic application materials and important updates only. To ensure timely receipt of any possible communications, it is strongly recommended that you consistently monitor the status of your ADEA AADSAS application by logging into your account. Make sure your email address provided in the ADEA AADSAS application is current.

Some email messages from ADEA AADSAS are sent to multiple applicants, which makes some email systems identify ADEA AADSAS messages as "spam" or junk email. Some email providers use filters to prevent users from receiving spam. Email filters may interpret an email from ADEA AADSAS or a dental school as spam and automatically delete a message to you about the status of your ADEA AADSAS application. To avoid missing important ADEA AADSAS emails, turn the "spam" or "junk" email filters off during the application cycle. If your email provider does not allow you to turn the filter off, you may have to access to a "junk mail file" that archives all messages identified as sent to multiple addresses. Periodically check your spam/junk email file for ADEA AADSAS or dental school related messages. If you do not currently have an email address or are unable to turn off the spam/junk filters described, please establish a new email account.
