Q: What is the Colleges Attended section of the application?

A: The Colleges and Universities Attended section is a required part of your application. It is the section where you list ALL undergraduate, graduate, and professional institutions you have attended or plan to attend through the completion of Summer 2013..

List all institutions regardless of whether course credit transferred to another college or university or if college courses were taken while in high school, but for college credit. Be sure to include non-degree programs (e.g., summer school). Enter each institution only once, regardless of number of degrees earned or gaps in the dates of attendance. ADEA AADSAS requires a separate official transcript from every U.S. and Canadian institution attended, including all university branch campuses, if separate transcripts are maintained for each campus.

If you attended colleges/universities outside the U.S./Canada (except for Study Abroad or other courses for which you received credit at a U.S. college/University), and the school is not listed, indicate code "444444, international university."

Q: What is the process for listing a college/university I attended that is not listed in the application?

A: Contact ADEA Customer Service at (617) 612-2045, or aadsasinfo@aadsasweb.org. A Customer Service Representative will discuss your situation and will provide further instructions. You are encouraged not to select the "not listed" option until you have communicated with a Customer Service Representative.

Q: Should I list international (non-U.S. or Canadian) colleges/universities attended?

A: Yes. If you attended colleges/universities outside the U.S./Canada (except for Study Abroad or other courses for which you received credit at a U.S. college/University), indicate the college name. If the college is not listed, select code "444444, international university."

Q: How do I list credits I earned in high school through the College Board Advanced Placement Examination?

A: If you received college credit for coursework you completed in high school by successfully completing the College Board's Advanced Placement Examination, the credits should be posted to a college transcript. Indicate that college as one of your "Colleges Attended" and report your courses and grades earned. In the "special designations" section of the coursework section, indicate that the courses/credits are "advanced placement." If your AP credits are not associated with a particular term on your transcript, enter them in the term that is in closest proximity. (ADEA AADSAS does not accept high school transcripts-ADEA AADSAS only accepts AP credit that is posted to a college transcript.)
