The ADEA CRC is a collection of high-quality learning materials that can be easily incorporated into faculty-developed courses. It brings together images, case studies, and original sources within the context of critical topics in dental education.

Generally, each module consists of seven components, including the curriculum guide library, course assignments, image gallery, resource library, case studies, handouts, and advisory board recognition. The topics for currently available modules are:

  • Dentin plaque biofilm
  • Erosion
  • Dentin hypersensitivity
  • Periodontal diseases and overall health
  • Gingival diseases

The ADEA CRC is free and currently available to faculty who are ADEA members. (Not currently an ADEA member? Activate your membership today.) There are no restrictions on the use of ADEA CRC materials for teaching and learning. Find out about access, use, and more in the ADEA CRC FAQs.

The ADEA CRC is the first step in providing an ever-increasing pool of resources to support teaching and learning in dental education. In the past, ADEA has created educational modules as CD-ROMs and booklets. The ADEA CRC provides educational resources in a more flexible, reproducible, and scalable format, accommodating the changing needs and technology use of faculty and students. ADEA continues to work with complementary educational endeavors such as MedEdPORTAL.
