2017 ADEA Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill

Dates: Sep 19, 2017
Venue: Rayburn House Office Building, Gold Room, Room 2168
Location: Washington, DC

Online Registration is currently closed for this event.

During ADEA Advocacy Day, dental educators, dental and craniofacial researchers and dental students will tell Members of Congress why funding for oral health training programs and the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) is critically necessary for the overall health and well-being of the nation.

Taking place just before Congress takes decisive action on Fiscal Year 2018 (FY18) appropriations, ADEA Advocacy Day is your most opportune time to provide information on programs that could affect you and your institution

All faculty and students are encouraged to join us in Washington for this important event.

Schedule:

The day will begin with a light breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and the program will start at 9:00 a.m. There will be presentations from federal agency representatives on the benefits of oral health training programs and innovative dental and craniofacial research at NIDCR.

Throughout the morning, Members of Congress will stop by to bring greetings and provide the latest insights into negotiations on the FY18 appropriations that will fund these programs.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., the program will conclude; box lunches will be provided before participants depart for their appointments with Members of Congress. (ADEA staff will use ZIP codes provided when participants register to schedule appointments for participants with the Representative from their Congressional district and the Senators from their state.)
