About ADEA’s Division of Finance and Operations
The division’s primary responsibilities include providing effective, efficient administrative, accounting, and technological support to the Association’s office and by extension to all the members of the Association. Administrative support includes general office administration as well as mailroom operations and maintenance of the physical office space. Fiscal responsibilities include the formulation of annual budgets, conservation of assets and generation of revenues, and preparation of financial statements and reports to improve and facilitate management decisionmaking.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides internal support to the strategic planning and daily operation of the Association’s information services infrastructure. The staff of OIT operates and maintains the office network, desktop computers, related software, Internet connection, domain name services, and electronic communication systems of the Association. The staff of OIT provides technical support to the application services, membership, conference services, and accounting systems. The OIT staff develops and maintains the Association’s website and other websites hosted by the Association. The staff also develops web-based surveys and provides analysis support for ADEA annual surveys.

The division’s goals, in addition to carrying out its day-to-day responsibilities, include strengthening the management of the financial assets of the organization, increasing coordination across the various teams and divisions, enhancing the organization’s human resource management for the benefit and development of the Association’s employees, improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of administrative and technology functions, and providing support to the ADEA Board of Directors.
