NOVEMBER 2, 2010—Faculty members at ADEA allied, predoctoral, and postdoctoral member institutions can now access the ADEA Curriculum Resource Center (ADEA CRC) at
www.adea.org/crc.
The ADEA CRC is a collection of high-quality learning materials that can be easily incorporated into faculty-developed courses. It brings together images, case studies, and original sources within the context of critical topics in dental education. The topic for the initial module is biofilm.
"ADEA is proud to launch the ADEA Curriculum Resource Center as the first step in providing an ever-increasing pool of resources to support teaching and learning in dental education," said ADEA President Sandra C. Andrieu. "The biofilm module launched today, while a considerable achievement in itself, is just the beginning of what the ADEA CRC will become."
"This is a new kind of online resource for ADEA members," said ADEA Executive Director Richard W. Valachovic, D.M.D., M.P.H. "It’s an important step in accommodating the changing needs and technology use of both faculty and student ADEA members."
Faculty members at ADEA allied, predoctoral, and postdoctoral member institutions must activate ADEA membership at www.adea.org/join before accessing the ADEA CRC.
Access to the ADEA CRC is free for ADEA members and currently limited to faculty. There are no restrictions on the use of ADEA CRC materials for teaching and learning. More specifics about access and use are described at www.adea.org/crc/Pages/FAQs.aspx.
