2012 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition Registration Opens

WASHINGTON, DC—Members of the dental education community will convene at the 2012 American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Annual Session & Exhibition March 17-21, 2012, in Orlando, Florida. Registration is now open for this premiere event in dental education with programming that will focus on engagement for a better future in oral health care.

“The theme of ‘Engage: Better Individual, Better Profession, Better Community, Better Health, Better Future’ for the 2012 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition speaks to the important role this conference plays in engaging the dental education community as a whole,” says ADEA President Leo E. Rouse, D.D.S. “I look forward to connecting with dental education faculty, staff, and students and exploring how we can create a better community of health professionals that provide superior oral health care for an improved future.”

The 2012 ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition will feature Faculty Development Workshops, a Presidential Symposium, ADEA SoTLfest sessions, and plenary sessions with world renowned presenters. This year’s opening plenary session will feature award-winning chef Marcus Samuelsson, Executive Chef, Red Rooster Harlem and featured on Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters” and Food Network’s “Chopped,” as he shares his view on the benefits of experiencing the full diversity of our world and how professional success can be coupled with a commitment to service.

Programming at the meeting is divided into six learning focuses that offer faculty, students, residents, fellows, and administrators an array of relevant sessions to attend. Other interactive educational and professional development activities will explore learning and teaching dental educators complementary knowledge and skills.

The ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition is the most anticipated and highly attended professional event presented by ADEA. Last year, more than 2,000 dental education community members, from deans to academic advisors to assistant professors and students, made professional connections from across North America, attended educational sessions and visited the nearly 90 booths in the exhibit hall.
