Centralized application service ADEA PASS—now with MATCH: This web-based application simplifies the application process, not just for applicants but also for your program, relieving you of additional costs in administrative infrastructure. The service also helps to forge links across institutions to enhance outcomes. ADEA gives every member postdoctoral program a voice in guiding ADEA PASS via its ADEA PASS Task Force.
Voice in policy matters: Program directors of postdoctoral programs at member institutions have seats on the ADEA Council of Hospital and Advanced Education Programs. Through active involvement in the Council, Sections, Special Interest Groups, and other groups within the Association, program directors have a better opportunity to meet peers and others outside their specialty with mutual interests and to pursue professional and leadership development goals. Also, your institution's collective voice could play a vital role in ADEA's representation on Capitol Hill.
More promotion and exposure: Your program(s) will appear in the ADEA Directory of Institutional Members and Association Officers and on ADEA's website.
Open Membership: Through ADEA's open membership policy, when an institution joins ADEA, each of its dental faculty, staff, and students may activate a free individual membership in the Association (self-activated at www.adea.org/join). So, if 10 institutional faculty and 15 residents join ADEA, your institutional membership has already saved nearly $2,000.
Critical and relevant professional development programming: ADEA presents a variety of educational events annually, many offering continuing education credits, including the ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition. ADEA hosts an Advanced Dental Education Summit periodically. Representatives of all aspects of postdoctoral dental education come together to engage in candid discussions about relevant issues in postdoctoral dental education.
