ADEA COS Project Pool

Purpose

The ADEA House of Delegates established the ADEA Council of Sections (ADEA COS) Project Pool in 1995. Its purpose is to fund predominantly national research projects, studies and reports that support the ADEA Mission, Core Values and Strategic Directions. These funds provide support beyond the normal resources of individual Sections, Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Member Institutions. Applications are open to any ADEA Section or SIG member. 

Application Process

Eligible applicants must submit a completed applicationWord to the ADEA COS Staff Liaison by the October 1 deadline. 

Who May Apply? 

Any member of an ADEA Section or SIG.

Application Deadline

All applications must be received by October 1.

Selection Process

All applications are reviewed by the ADEA COS Project Pool Committee. The committee forwards its final recommendations to the ADEA COS Administrative Board for final approval. Applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision by November 1. 

Project Pool Committee

The ADEA COS Project Pool Committee is appointed by the ADEA COS Administrative Board and is comprised of an ADEA Section Councilor who serves as chair, three officers from any ADEA Section or SIG and the ADEA COS Administrative Board Member-at-Large, who serves as Board liaison to the committee.

Reporting

Status reports are due twice per year for the duration of the project; 30 days prior to the ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition and 30 days prior to the ADEA Fall Meetings.

A final report is due within 45 days after the project termination date. 

All reports must be submitted to the ADEA COS Project Pool Chair, ADEA COS Member-at-Large, and ADEA COS Staff Liaison by the project term end date.
